This is a special charity event to raise funds for the Veterans Transition Centre in Jarrahdale. They are the only site in Western Australia which accommodates homeless veterans and will use the funds to upgrade their duplexes.
At Christmas 1914 in the trenches of World War 1 in France, Allied and German soldiers disregarded their orders and laid down their arms for a brief time of truce, singing carols and exchanging greetings and gifts. The magic of the peace and goodwill message of Christmas affected them all and created one of the most memorable moments of their lives and a memorable moment for humankind. A brief time of truce and created one of the most memorable moments for humankind.
