2026 Albany Bicentenary Reminiscence Sessions

THEATRE 180 from stories to be collected through reminiscence sessions
Do you have a story to tell?

THEATRE 180 is partnering with the City of Albany to deliver a story capturing project ahead of the 2026 Albany Bicentenary.

We need your stories and memories of Albany to paint a picture of our past so that it can influence our future and inform us of our heritage.

We know Albany’s heritage is rich and deeply rooted in military history, maritime traditions and Menang Noongar culture. Which means we also know there are many stories out there just waiting to be told.

This is where you come in. The City of Albany and THEATRE 180 invite you to tell your story at one of the Group Reminiscence Sessions. The stories collected will be adapted into a script for an innovative theatre piece using cinema and traditional stage production.

You can attend a Reminiscence Group Session at the Albany Public Library on the following dates and times:

Tuesday 20 September
1st Group Reminiscence Session 10am – 12pm
2nd Group Reminiscence Session 1pm – 3pm
3rd Group Reminiscence Session 6pm – 8pm

Wednesday 21 September
1st Group Reminiscence Session 10am – 12pm
2nd Group Reminiscence Session 1pm – 3pm
3rd Group Reminiscence Session 6pm – 8pm
