Ali has more than 25 years experience working in the arts sector in variety of arts management positions. Working across a range of genres but pre-dominantly in the performing arts, she has worked in various roles with: Perth Theatre Company (from its inception), Barking Gecko Theatre Company, ABC Radio, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery and UWA Publishing to name a few.
In 2011 she established Limelight Consulting; a bespoke Arts PR and Marketing consultancy and has gone on to complete events, communications and producing contracts with local, national and international companies and artists including; Australian Performing Arts Centres Association, Big Sky Entertainment, Room 8 & Duet Productions, Australian Dance Awards in 2012 & 2016, Tura New Music, David Helfgott, The Blue Room Theatre, Pride WA, Fringe World, Perth Festival, The Last Great Hunt and STRUT Dance, among others.
Ali also loves being in a classroom with new and emerging arts practitioners and has just celebrated 10 years as a sessional academic teaching arts management at WAAPA. She has served on a number of arts boards and as a peer assessment panelist for the then Department Culture and the Arts, but has recently dedicated her time to one on one mentoring.
As Executive Producer (Programming and Marketing) Ali is also currently developing the augural Perth International Cabaret Festival, due to launch in 2021 at His Majesty’s Theatre.
