Alex Jones has been working as an actor for over 35 years in Perth and Sydney.
Her movie roles, include, the soon to be released RUNT by Craig Silvey, Jasper Jones and Ben Elton’s, Three Summers.
Her TV work includes The Heights (ABC), Mystery Road alongside Judy Davis and Aaron Pedersen (ABC), The Way the War Changed Us (ABC), Small Town Hackers (Web Series), Home and Away (Seven Network), All Saints (Seven Network), Water Rats (Nine Network.) And many more!
She’s been in too many theatre shows to relay but her most recent work has been with Theatre 180, Agelink, Barking Gecko, Yirra Yakkin Theatre Company, Black Swan Emerging Writer’s Program and The Perth Theatre Company. She spent the 90’s and early 2000’s touring NSW and Victoria with The Ensemble Theatre, Shakespeare in the Park and Theatre South.
She is very proud to have performed in the World Stage premieres of Jasper Jones and Waltzing the Wilarra.
Amidst gigs, Alex is a busy TV and radio voice-over artist. She does corporate training role-play and training videos. She has worked as a Workshop facilitator all around Australasia and New Zealand, as a journalist, a speech writer for the Minister of the Arts, a dramaturg, a High School English Teacher and an acting coach.
Alex studied at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAPPA), has a BA from Curtin and a Teaching Degree from Uni of NSW.
She has three children.
