A bold, heartfelt celebration of Albany’s identity – past, present and imagined.

ALBANY ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE

Sept 25 | 11am & 7pm
Sept 26 | 5pm

A new play created from many interviews where Albany is the central character whose spirited story is told through theatre, film, music, dance and memory.

Our Place, Rain or Shine bridges time, culture and generations, weaving together local stories, insights and experiences about people’s connection to the landscape and the special places that feature in the history of Albany and surrounds.

Giovanni and the Monument on Mount Clarence…the Ches Stubbs rescue…soap box racing down Apex Drive…Karen migrants from Bhutan discovering the joys of fishing and Middleton Beach, Aunty Vern recalling childhood playdays in the bush that was their larder…and many more stories!

Written by Jenny Davis,

Directed by Stuart Halusz

Featuring Benj D’Addario, Jo Morris, Tom O’Sullivan and supported by Albany community members.
